"Piper"
News FlashÖPiper is the #2 obedience SMT in Canada in 2006!
Piper
is a wonderful Manchester Terrier who is owned, loved and trained by our great
friends Janice and Derek Thompson. Piper is Janice's obedience and agility dog,
and to see them working together in the ring is awesome. Janice enjoys the
challenges involved with training a terrier and her love of both the sport of
obedience and of the Manchester Terrier shows through in her bond with Piper.
They are a truly amazing team. Piper obtained her CD in true terrier style,
going High in Class for two of her three legs. Huge congratulations to both
Janice and Piper.
Piper
now has 2 legs towards her CDX, going High In Class both times. Piper always
draws a crowd when she is in the obedience ring. She is always fun to watch,
both because she is such a good working dog and because you never know when she
will have a "terrier moment"!
At
a recent agility match in August, 2007, Piper was awarded 'Top Advanced Dog'. Piper and Janice are loving agility and
we are proud of them both!

Piper
and Janice have recently taken up agility. Here is Piper at her first agility
match. Sheís a natural athlete and absolutely loves to do agility. Piper
recently completed her Agility Dog of Canada title. In 2006, in her first year
of agility, she was awarded 3 of the 4 ìTop Starter Dog of the Dayî awards
given out at the trials. Way to go Piper and Janice!
