BIS Ch. Mersey Legacy of Wilane
"Acey"
Acey
is now retired, both from the show ring and the whelping box. She is queen of
the house and loves nothing better than relaxing in front of a roaring fire,
except maybe curling up on the couch with her daddy. She is truly one of a
kind.
Acey
achieved her Canadian championship at the age of 10 months. She has a Best in
Show win, multiple group placements, and multiple Best Puppy In Groups to her
credit. Acey's accomplishments in the show ring resulted in her being named the
#2 Standard Manchester Terrier (#1 bitch) in Canada for the year 2000, CMTC
Puppy of the Year (2000), and #3 Standard Manchester Terrier (#1 bitch) in
Canada in 2002!
In
addition to her amazing performance in the show ring, Acey has also excelled in
the whelping box. Her first litter produced Ch. Mersey Gunna B Grand (Gunny)
who followed in mom's paw prints in the show ring and Mersey You're Gunna Be
Charmed (Piper) who is dazzling everyone in the obedience ring and the agility
course!
Acey
stepped back into the ring for the first CMTC National Specialty with junior
handler Natasha Holawaty. To see these two performing together brought joy to
our hearts. We are proud to report that Acey and her daughter Gunny were pulled
out side-by-side for consideration. Gunny went on to take Best of Breed, but it
was great to see Acey back in her element again and loving every minute of it!
