Darren is a handsome, yellow male with excellent dark pigment.  He is a honey colour with a handsome square head, gentle disposition and pleasing look.  His sire's father was the # 1 Lab in Canada in 2000 and his dam's father was the #2 Lab in Canada for 1996 and 1997.   He is an excellent water dog and has strong retrieving ability.  He has a gentle and intelligent expression while being confident, outgoing and a very agile dog for his size.  He is has a typical Lab temperament, loves other dogs and children and is a pleasure to be around. 

Darren has recently joined a wonderful new family (Jim, Anne Marie & James III) in Halifax. He is the “apple” of their eye and they adore him dearly. He has his own kid (James Jr.) to play with now and they make a wonderful team. He’s learning not to get on the furniture but it’s a good compromise since he now has his own special family to love him. He is spoiled rotten and rightfully so. Now he just has to learn to stay out of those wonderful gardens around his new yard!!! He still comes to visit on a regular basis and we are thrilled with his new family. Of course, he still loves the water and when he does visit this is his main objective…to swim.

UPDATE: We finally received some great photos from his new family and they can be viewed in the photo section. Darren and James Jr. are now registered in obedience classes. From all accounts things are going well so far. Hopefully Darren doesn’t decide he wants to go somewhere that James doesn’t….he’s got a few pounds on James yet!!! Keep up the good work guys. J
