Can Ch. Kaltoba’s The Third Alibi
Breeder: Doug Fisher
Owner: Doug Fisher
This litter was my most anticipated as I had tried breeding to Claire Hoffman’s Angus a few years ago via frozen semen. Using a somewhat new clinic here in Calgary the breeding never took. Then Angus went off overseas and became the Top Terrier in England in 2005, An English Champion and also went to Poland and was the World Winner in 2006 and a Polish Champion. But things finally worked out and I was able to get my breeding to Angus (Pol, Eng, Am Ch. Sunrise Rascal Fair).
It has been a very trying litter and little Ali was as they say the only rose among the
thorns – my only female puppy. Ali was always a very sweet and calm puppy when little but when 7 weeks hit and she had her legs under her she never stopped. If any puppy ever needed an Alibi it is Ali. Whenever you hear a crashing or something falling over and you go to check – there is Ali sitting with her cute little “Who Me” look with the dirt from the plant all over her face! She is a happy little dog and loves children and has been a great Juniors dog with my handler Yvonne Norton’s children.
Ali ventured into the show rings the first part of 2008 attending the Rose City Cluster of shows with handler Shaunna Bernardin. I forgot to inform Shaunna that I really hadn’t leash trained this litter as I had just been enjoying them and letting them
run wild. Shaunna was able to get them under control and Ali didn’t fair too badly in the ring but returned home without those US points. She then went out with handler Yvonne Norton to attend the two show weekends held locally and in just two show weekends was able to complete her Canadian Championship.
Ali will be attending a few more shows in Canada, attending a few Earthdog lessons as her house buddy Juliet has taught her how to dig in the yard, and then venture south of the border to pick up her US Championship. We are hoping for good things from Ali in the years ahead and think she will be a great addition to the Kaltoba breeding program.
