In addition, every retriever will require
monthly parasite control in the form of Sentinal as well as
Vectra-3D during tic and flea season. In the event of a flea
outbreak, an additional flea treatment in the form of Comfortis will be
required.
You may supply the specified medications or purchase
from the recommended veterinarians at the discounted cost indicated below.
No substitutions are acceptable unless your
retriever will have an adverse reaction to the specified
medications.
New retrievers will be required to by up to date
on a specified vaccination protocol that is outlined on the Enrollment link
. You can have your vet bring your retriever up to date on the
specified protocol or we can have the work completed for you at our
recommended veterinary partners. In addition, your retriever
will require a physical examination by our vet prior to acceptance
in the training program. This is to ensure your retriever is
healthy enough for the demands of daily training and to help us identify
any potential physical problems that we will need to manage. After the
enrollment examinations and vaccinations, your retriever will be
scheduled for semiannual and annual vaccinations as well as an
annual exam. We take your trust very seriously when it comes to
the health of your retriever and will do everything possible to ensure
your retriever receives the best possible veterinary care.
