News Flash! We are happy to announce that Nika ranked 4th in the CKC breed standings for 2005!

After over a year off for motherhood, Nika entered the ring in Nov 2007 at the Moncton shows and picked up a Group 1st and Group 2nd. Then at her next show, Halifax Kennel Club Feb 2008, she won two more Group firsts and a Reserve BIS!! The same weekend she completed the requirements for her Rally-O Novice title.

Nika had a great 2005 at the shows! She was shown in Canada a total of 30 shows and ended the year with 22 Breed wins, 21 Group Placements and 3 Best in Show wins! Thanks to judges Don Wallace, James Reynolds and breeder judge Rick Fehler for the Best in Show wins. Nika ended the year with a trip to Ottawa to attend the Show Of Shows. She went Group 4th out of 14 Best in Show winners in the Working group!

We made two trips to the US with our daughter Erin showing Nika and picked up her first US point and a reserve to a 4-point major. She placed in her class 5 of the 6 days she was shown, in tough competition against well-known handlers.

If this wasn’t enough Nika also picked up her CD (her final leg was a HIC) and passed the requirements for her TT. We are so pleased with Nika! We look forward to showing her in the US in 2006 and we also have plans to breed Nika for a fall litter.
