CMTC Yearly Awards Requirements

Yearly Awards will be tracked and tabulated by the Awards Committee. To be considered eligible for a Canadian Manchester Terrier Club Yearly Award a candidate must be owned in part or in full by a member in good standing of the Canadian Manchester Terrier Club. Application for the following awards is not necessary except where indicated (see Breeder of the Year). Unless explicitly stated otherwise these awards pertain exclusively to results from CKC sanctioned dog shows. Any submitted information (if required) must be forwarded before March 31^st each year in order to be included with results for the preceding Awards period.

CMTC Top Dog (Confirmation)

The Top Dog (Confirmation) Award will be issued according to final results tabulated by the Canadian Kennel Club. A Top Dog (Confirmation) Award will be issued to both the #1 Toy and #1 Standard Manchester Terrier (for a total of two recipients) being exhibited in Canada during the calendar year being tabulated.

CMTC Top Dog (Obedience)

The Top Dog (Obedience) Award will be issued according to final results tabulated by the Canadian Kennel Club. A Top Dog (Obedience) Award will be issued to both the #1 Toy and #1 Standard Manchester Terrier (for a total of two recipients) being exhibited in Canada during the calendar year being tabulated

CMTC Puppy of the Year

The Puppy of the Year Award is awarded to the puppy who finishes the year with the most PUPPY POINTS, which are available as follows:

Best in Show/Specialty Show


75 PP
Best Puppy in Show/Specialty Show	50 PP
Best Puppy in Group	25 PP
Group First	40 PP
Group Second	30 PP
Group Third	20 PP
Group Fourth	10 PP

Note:

Puppies that are finished must be shown in Specials, not in the classes, otherwise points will be disqualified.

Points will only be tabulated for the period of the year during which the candidate was under one (1) year of age.

A Puppy of the Year Award will be issued to both the top Toy and top Standard Manchester Terrier puppy (for a total of two recipients) being exhibited in Canada during the calendar year being tabulated.

CMTC Stud Dog of the Year

Stud Dog of the Year will be awarded to the dog siring the greatest number of Manchester Terriers awarded CKC championship titles during the awards year. One point will be awarded for each title. A Stud Dog of the Year Award will be issued to both the top Toy and Standard Manchester Terrier Stud (for a total of two recipients) during the calendar year being tabulated.

CMTC Brood Bitch of the Year

Brood Bitch of the Year will be awarded to the dam producing the greatest number of Manchester Terriers awarded CKC championship titles during the awards year. One point will be awarded for each title. A Brood Bitch of the Year Award will be issued to both the top Toy and top Standard Manchester Terrier dams (for a total of two recipients) during the calendar year being tabulated.

CMTC Breeder of the Year

The Breeder of the Year Title will be awarded to the Canadian breeder (including co-bred litters) who finishes the year with the most BREEDER POINTS. All titles listed must be earned during the calendar year being calculated. BREEDER POINTS are available as follows:

Qualifying Novice Score (for each passing score to a max. of 3 BP)	1 BP

Qualifying Utility Score	1 BP
Agility Title	3 BP*
Therapy Dog Title	3 BP*

*Note:

It is the responsibility of the breeder in question to contact the Awards Committee with information regarding foreign titles earned during the calendar year being calculated, as well as agility or therapy dog titles earned. Information regarding this, or any other category, must be forwarded before March 31^st each year in order to be included with results for the preceding Awards period.
